A graduate of Westmont College, I earned degrees in both Studio Art and International Business. I am currently working as the Art Production Manager at Santa Barbara Magazine in addition to pursuing painting and freelance design work. I’ve spent half my life on the beach and half in the desert, living in both Santa Barbara, California and Albuquerque, New Mexico. I enjoy a variety of creative outlets including sewing, cooking, and, of course, painting.

Artist Statement:

For me, the process and product of painting is about absorption, the entire occupation of the mind. By taking all of my experiences and synthesizing them into the whole of my life, I examine truth. As an artist, I find deep fulfillment in creating images that portray objects the way that I intend them to be seen while maintaining a level of ambiguity and intrigue within the works themselves. My representations of common objects – most recently, a repeated view from a window – provide a structure to explore various interpretations of my reality that, in their austerity, call for reflection.
